A Message From The Old Foundry At One Federal

Dear Guest,

Thank you for supporting us here at The Old Foundry At One Federal where we aim to be Fresh, Local, and Sustainable.  Our goal is to provide a fun, friendly atmosphere where everyone can come and enjoy great fresh meals made right here from scratch for a great value.

The Old Foundry is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Sunday - Thursday 11am to 9pm and Friday - Saturday 11AM to 10PM. Our phone number is 802-524-0330 and you can follow us on Facebook here.

We are a full service family dining restaurant and bar. We offer 115 seats inside, with 4 different dining rooms: our Lounge and Bar, the Great Room, the Barrel Room, and the intimate Library. We have a beautiful brick outdoor Victorian courtyard with 60 seats and a fantastic 2000 sq ft tented banquet area for functions up to 120 guests. We have hosted anniversaries, surprise parties, reunions, holiday parties, weddings, receptions, rehearsal dinners, showers and more.

Be sure to check out our Summer Concert Series schedule which will be posted this spring, so check back for updates!

The Old Foundry makes every attempt to be Green by using unbleached recycle paper products for our menus, and compostable to-go containers. We recycle, compost, and even have low flush toilets. Our spent cooking oil is donated and turned into Bio-diesel to fuel local trucks.

Everything on our menu is handmade from scratch and cooked to order. We use the highest quality ingredients using fresh local seasonal products where available.

Our commitment to sourcing local products is displayed in our partnerships with Boissonault Farms, Howrigan Maple Syrup, Vermont Coffee Company, and Cabot Creamery just to name a few -- not to mention local wines and brews.

There is a lot of history in this old building. Dated 1840, this is originally the site of the St Albans Foundry and Implement Co. Here, factory workers made enormous farm equipment such as cow/horse powered threshers, cane crushers, stone lifters, and corn stalk shredders to name a few. One of the tread mills is even on display at the Smithsonian Museum in DC.

Before the Old Foundry at One Federal, this space has been home to many different businesses. Dowling’s Smoke Shop, an Ice Cream Parlor, a bowling alley, Charlie Vermont’s Restaurant and the Old Foundry Restaurant. Much of this building’s history, along with the great city of St Albans, can be seen on our walls throughout the restaurant.

The Old Foundry At One Federal opened its doors on Friday, the 13th of October 2017.

Thank you for supporting us here at The Old Foundry At One Federal, we look forward to hosting you!
